i am giulia, a designer from italy and now based in singapore.
i worked for ten years as graphic designer for a company in the field of fashion accessories, then decided to move to this country, following my heart.
since i was a kid my real, and not so hidden, passion has always been drawing and illustration, and here i could improve my skills attending fzd school of design so that maybe one day i'll be able to crown my dream to work for a videogame company (yeah, i'm a bit nerdy!).
i also have a background as a student in photography, but it's only in these last years that i've brought this hobby into my daily life.
drawing has always been my first passion and still is my main goal in life.
these are some concepts i made during the hardest year in fzd school of design in singapore, my style goes from realistic to cartoony because i like to experiment... or maybe it's just adapting to every situation.
HOPE OF CELESTA concepts for a fantasy based jrpg videogame
PET PURSUIT concepts for a two factions digital tabletop game
THE LOST FORTRESS concepts for a rpg videogame level
DR. SKUNK'S ADVENTURES concepts for a supervillain's prison, secret weapon and headquarter
HAZMAT CONTAINER design for a caesium container
THE ODISSEY concepts for a greek mythology theme park sector based on the odissey
i love minimal and clean graphics, using just few elements and colors to describe an idea. i like to simplify a concept: even if i have a chaotic personality, i don't like chaos if you talk about design.
i think that "less is more" is my motto, when it comes to graphic design.
i treat photography as a form of curiosity about things surrounding us, being caught by small details, objects, framing the beauty of a simple item.
or also curiousity about other people's lives, catching their own moments like i was spying on them, trying to figure out what they are thinking.
